Hello everyone~ With quarantine going on, are you cooking more than you usually do?
I hope you do though, because not only that cooking at home lets you control the ingredients, it is healthier for you too!
Ditch your boxed pancake mix and make this no fuss, no mess pancakes. Just a few simple staple ingredients and walla! Follow along my tips and tricks for these classic stack of pancakes!
Ingredients (6-8 pancakes):
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp of baking powder
Tip : Melt your butter in the microwave or like me, I use the same pan to cook the pancakes with. This will not only omit extra mess, but you don't need to grease your pan! You can stack and freeze pre-made pancakes, layering a square of parchment paper in between to ensure nothing sticks together. Put them in a plastic bag, and freeze them for up to 2 weeks.
1. First, whisk your wet ingredients (egg, milk, and melted butter) together.
2. Do the same thing with your dry ingredients (flour, sugar, and baking powder).
3. Dump all your wet ingredients in your dry and give it a final whisk and you are done!
Who says that cooking for breakfast is a hustle?
If you follow my tip, then you won't have to grease your pan! If you don't, grease your pan with a tad of butter on a non stick pan.
4. Heat your pan with medium to low heat and pour about a quarter cup of batter in.
5. Wait for bubbles to rise and flip it! Let cook for an additional 1 minutes or until browned on each side.
6. Stack your pancakes and done!
Wait... I think there's something missing.... I like my pancakes with cheese and sweetened condensed milk, but feel free to add honey or syrup! yum!
